Fire in Odesa: Rescuers Extinguish Blaze on House Roof
On the evening of November 8, a fire broke out on the roof of a private residential building in the Peresyp district of Odesa. Rescuers managed to extinguish the flames covering an area of 90 square meters, despite significant clutter in the yard. A total of 6 fire trucks and 23 firefighters from the State Emergency Service (SES) were involved, along with 1 unit and 4 personnel from the Ukrainian Volunteer Firefighters Association. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
The Main Department of SES in Odesa region reported that the fire started in the evening on Poshteva Street. The flames posed a threat to neighboring buildings, but rescuers responded swiftly.
"The cluttered yard complicated the situation for firefighters, yet they managed to contain the fire over an area of 90 square meters. Thankfully, there were no casualties," SES officials stated.
Rescue units promptly arrived at the scene: 6 fire trucks and 23 firefighters from SES, along with 1 unit and 4 personnel from the Volunteer Firefighters Association. The cause of the fire and the extent of damages are currently being investigated by specialists. Various scenarios are being considered, including violations of fire safety regulations and electrical wiring malfunctions.
