TAF Industries Unveils New Counter-Drone System "Quasar-A"
Ukrainian company TAF Industries has introduced its latest electronic warfare system, "Quasar-A", designed for the protection of armored vehicles and automotive applications. The manufacturer shared the features of this innovative system in their post.
TAF Industries characterizes the system as a potent countermeasure against kamikaze drones and multirotor UAVs that drop payloads. Key features of the "Quasar-A" include:
- 360° coverage with a range of up to 300 m;
- Signal jamming of control and video transmission channels;
- Five channels, each with a power of 100 W;
- Customizable frequency bands.
The "Quasar-A" creates an active jamming field, blocking control and video transmission. It features antennas with magnetic mounts, deploys in 5 minutes, and operates in rain, dust, and freezing conditions. Rated at IP66 protection, it offers up to 2 hours of autonomous operation. "Quasar-A" secures the defense line, protecting the crew and saving lives," says TAF Industries in their video.
Additionally, in September, TAF Industries announced the codification of the FPV drone Kolibri 13-O with a fiber-optic communication channel. This drone is an enhanced version of the standard Kolibri model, specifically designed for operation in dense electronic warfare environments. The manufacturer indicates that the new model possesses features that make it a real "cheat code" on the battlefield.
