Odesa Branch's Engagement at BALTEXPO 2025
The leadership of the Odesa branch of the State Enterprise «Ukrainian Sea Ports Administration» participated in the international maritime and military exhibition BALTEXPO 2025 held in Gdansk, Poland.
During the event, a round table was organized where the head of the Odesa branch, Dmytro Nazarenko, delivered a presentation on the operations of Ukrainian ports amid wartime conditions.
He reported that since the onset of the full-scale aggression, over 500 port infrastructure facilities have been damaged or destroyed, along with 116 civilian vessels and 157 injured civilians. Specifically, 161 facilities were damaged in the Odesa Sea Port.
The discussion highlighted the Ukrainian corridor, which has facilitated the transit of over 146.5 million tons of cargo and processed 5596 vessels since August 2023, with Odesa port handling 1528 of those vessels.
Despite numerous challenges, Ukrainian maritime ports remain a crucial component of the nation's economic resilience. Their security is vital not only for logistics but also for the survival of Ukraine's export model, Nazarenko emphasized.
The event also featured infrastructure projects of the Odesa port and plans for their future implementation, with Nazarenko inviting international investors to collaborate.
