Devastation in Odesa: Impact of the Heavy Rainfall

Due to a natural emergency in Odesa caused by a heavy rainfall on September 30, 2025, the city suffered significant damage: roads and homes were flooded, power outages occurred in several areas, public transport was halted, and trees were uprooted.

Despite immediate efforts to manage the aftermath of the disaster, involving all emergency services, municipal enterprises, and volunteers, the calamity resulted in loss of human life.

In memory of the deceased, October 2, 2025, has been declared a Day of Mourning in Odesa.

Flags of Ukraine and Odesa will be flown at half-mast on buildings.

Businesses and organizations in the city are advised to limit music usage and entertainment events.

The Mayor of Odesa, the City Council, and its Executive Committee extend their condolences to the families and friends of the victims.
