New Water Well Complex in Odesa's Peresyp District
A modern water well complex with an artesian well has been completed at 60v Heroes of Defense of Odesa Street in the Peresyp district.
This is the second source of clean drinking water in this densely populated area. Plans are also in place to construct two more wells on Academician Sakharov Street and in the area of Vladislav Buvalkin Street.
The new complex includes a technical building, staff facilities, a pumping station, a ventilation and air conditioning system, fire alarm systems, and a diesel generator to ensure uninterrupted power supply during outages.
“This is not just a technical facility — it is a guarantee of safety and care for people. We have realized how crucial it is to have backup water sources when the country experienced shortages due to enemy attacks. We now have another modern, reliable well that meets all requirements,” emphasized Odesa's Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.
The complex is equipped with an artesian well over 115 meters deep, providing a water flow of 3–4 cubic meters per hour. The water undergoes a complete purification cycle: aeration, mechanical filtration, reverse osmosis, ozonation, and sorption treatment through carbon filters.
This process ensures that the water meets sanitary standards for drinking consumption, confirmed by laboratory analyses from the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Research Institute of Transport Medicine” of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
Currently, there are 17 water wells operating in various neighborhoods of Odesa.
