Launch of Online Certification for Mine Action Operators in Ukraine
Ukraine is launching an online certification process for mine action operators through the "Diia" platform. This was announced by Prime Minister Julia Svyrydenko.
"From now on, nearly all stages can be completed remotely: from submitting the certification application to appeals. The only aspect that will remain offline is the on-site inspection," Svyrydenko stated.
Separate offices have been provided for operators and certification bodies, allowing them to quickly exchange documents and comments.
Each stage has clear deadlines, and the minimum certification time will be at least one month.
Currently, there are 125 registered operators in Ukraine, most of whom are Ukrainian, with only 8 being foreign.
"Scaling and accelerating demining is among the government's key priorities, as Ukraine is currently one of the most mined countries in the world," Svyrydenko remarked.
