Gas Explosion in Odessa Apartment: One Injured
The State Emergency Service reported an incident that took place on September 6 in the Khadzhybei district of Odessa. A gas explosion occurred on the 4th floor of an apartment building on Ovidiopolskyi Road, leading to a fire and damage to balconies on the 4th, 5th, and 6th floors.
“The fire was extinguished over an area of 30 square meters. As a result of the explosion, a woman born in 1964 was seriously injured and hospitalized. A total of 7 units of equipment and 22 rescuers were dispatched by the State Emergency Service, along with 1 unit of equipment and 4 personnel from the Ukrainian Volunteer Firefighters Association. The cause is currently being investigated. We urge citizens to strictly follow fire and domestic safety rules. Take care of yourselves and your loved ones,” the agency emphasized.
