Enhanced Security Measures in Ukrainian Ports
By the end of this year, Ukraine is set to establish 38 new mobile shelters in the ports of Greater Odessa, the Danube region, and Mykolayiv.
According to the press service of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority: "The safety of our workers is a crucial aspect of the stable operation of the industry.
These new shelters will enable quick responses to threats, reduce access time to protective structures, and ensure the safety of individuals essential for the daily functioning of critical infrastructure," the statement reads.
Currently, there are already stationary protective structures and a number of mobile shelters in the ports. However, the large areas, the nature of operations, and the short flight time of ballistic missiles necessitate additional solutions.
Recently, the Odessa port introduced 10 additional modular shelters, installed with the support of the "Ukrainian Foundation." They are positioned directly near workstations to allow port workers to access protection swiftly.
