New Regulations for Ammunition Production in Ukraine
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved new regulations for the production, procurement, and supply of ammunition and explosives to meet the needs of the Defense Forces. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense.
According to the defense agency, the resolution dated July 16, 2025, regulating these matters, was adopted during a Cabinet meeting.
The document establishes a new order for production and supply, along with algorithms for executing these procedures. Amendments have also been made to other regulations to align with the new rules.
It is noted in the decree that enterprises already recognized as ammunition manufacturers will continue their activities, ensuring the continuity of production processes.
Key points of the new resolution include:
- Storage certificates for military explosives issued previously remain valid, and manufacturers do not need to undergo bureaucratic procedures again.
- Explosives, even if they are industrially classified, used for ammunition are now classified as military explosives, simplifying their use.
- The government has removed administrative barriers for manufacturers, allowing for quicker setup of ammunition and explosives production.
