Police Dog Saves Elderly Man in Odesa Region
In the Odesa region, a police dog named Elsa became a hero after saving the life of a 74-year-old man. Working alongside her handler, Marіna Novitska, she found the missing pensioner who had not returned home.
After nearly a day of unsuccessful searches, the family turned to the police for help.
"The grandfather went missing unexpectedly, and the family couldn’t find him. It was only when they contacted the police that the dog picked up his scent and led us to him. Under the rain, at night, Elsa tirelessly worked and found the man unconscious but alive in a field near the village of Delzhyler," said Andriy Nebytov, Deputy Head of the National Police.
The police called for medical assistance, which was provided to the victim.
Andriy Nebytov emphasized that service dogs are invaluable assistants in police work.
