Renovation of Accessible Beach at 11th Station
Renovation efforts are underway at the 11th station of the Great Fountain to enhance the beach for individuals with disabilities.
The project is managed by the Engineering Protection Department of the Odessa City Council.
Currently, a metal framework and wooden decking have been installed, along with fencing elements on the traverses, and a metal ramp is being constructed for access to the sea.
A concrete ramp and decking have been manufactured and delivered, along with fencing elements to reinforce the retaining wall.
Additionally, the sewage pumps and external sewage system have been overhauled, and the changing rooms and showers have been renovated, including the installation of concrete stairs for beach access.
Work is ongoing to renovate restrooms for people with limited mobility, a medical station, and a security storage room.
Preparations for a concrete platform for training equipment installation are also in progress.
For the safety of future beachgoers, a concrete shelter has been manufactured, delivered, and installed.
The completion of the inclusive beach renovation is planned for the end of June 2025.
