New Date for Children's Day in Ukraine
Children's Day in Ukraine will now be celebrated on November 20, aligning with World Children's Day.
This was established by decree No. 355/2025 “On Children's Day” signed by President Volodymyr Zelensky on May 30.
The document outlines this decision.
When will Children's Day be celebrated?
“To affirm the protection of childhood as a national priority and to strengthen international efforts aimed at safeguarding children's rights, I decree: Establish Children's Day in Ukraine to be celebrated annually on World Children's Day, November 20,” the decree states.
This decree also revokes the previous Presidential Decree dated May 30, 1998, No. 568/98 “On Children's Day,” which designated June 1 as the celebration date.
The President's Office explained that this decision synchronizes Ukraine's observance of Children's Day with World Children's Day, enhancing focus on children's rights at both national and international levels.
