New Springs of Life: Odessa's Fountain Revitalization
Experts from the Municipal Enterprise «Service Center» have unveiled yet another beloved fountain for the locals. Located at the Theater Square near the Odessa Opera House, it stands as one of the city's most stunning water features.
This spring, 15 out of the 27 fountains managed by the enterprise are set to be launched.
Currently, the fountains at the City Garden, on the Stock Exchange, and Theater Squares are already in operation.
The municipal team aims to reopen the remaining fountains by May 5.
The fountains operate from 9 AM to 9 PM.
As fountains consume a significant amount of energy, some remain non-operational during the wartime conditions. Additionally, since the war began, 4 fountains located in the UNESCO zone have been completely preserved: the Memorial Fountain in memory of the victims of German-Romanian fascists, the fountain «Petya and Gavrik», the fountain «Youth» («Children and the Froglet»), and the well-fountain «Spring».
