Community Tree Planting Event in Odesa
A significant community event was held in Odesa.
In Preobrazhensky Park, 100 new trees were planted. Overall, nearly 200 trees, including acacias, Japanese sophoras, maples, and ashes, were added in various locations across the city.
Along Uspenska Street and on French Boulevard, 33 Japanese sophoras and 32 acacias were planted in place of removed stumps.
«Last year, we acquired stump removal equipment for the municipal utility «Miskzelentrest». What used to take a day now only takes half an hour to remove one stump. We are planting new trees in the freed-up spaces. Thank you to everyone who participated», — stated the Mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov.
Additionally, residents collaborated with municipal workers to plant trees on Mykolaivska Road and clean up the slopes along the Health Trail.
