Revitalizing Bus Stops: New Challenges in Odessa
In the city of Odessa, employees of the municipal enterprise «City Roads» are continually engaged in repairing public transport stops. Every day, incidents of vandalism occur where unknown individuals leave graffiti, break benches, and destroy trash bins. Additionally, some stops are damaged due to traffic accidents and hostile actions.
Since the beginning of 2025, vandals have shattered glass at 31 public transport stops, and another 7 stops were damaged due to military actions. Workers are also tasked with cleaning and removing writings and notices affixed to the walls of the stops.
In total, the municipal enterprise manages 1,012 public transport stops.
Specialists regularly conduct sanitary cleaning of the surrounding areas, repair and maintain bins, benches, and bus shelters, as well as washing and painting them.
The Odessa city council appeals to residents and visitors to treat the city's property with care. Intentional destruction of public property is subject to legal consequences.
