Odessa Prepares for Winter: Hydraulic Testing and New Pipelines

In Odessa, hydraulic tests of the heating system are being conducted as part of the preparation for winter.

The pipes are being checked for reliability and tightness to minimize the risk of accidents during the heating season. The temperature of the heat carrier is currently below 40°C. Sections of the heating networks that cannot be repaired are being replaced with new ones.

As part of the city's winter preparation, assistance is being provided by USAID through the energy security project.

In the last month, the enterprise KP «TMO» has received four deliveries of pre-insulated steel pipes along with necessary components and shut-off valves.

In total, the enterprise has received pre-insulated steel pipes:
- diameter 325 — 816 meters;
- diameter 219 — 24 meters;
- diameter 108 — 78 meters;
- diameter 57 — 14 meters.

Additionally, KP «TMO» received: ball valves, heat shrink couplings, stationary supports, expansion joints, sealing rings, joint insulation kits, and compensatory pads.

This assistance will enable further planned work to replace damaged heating networks.

KP «TMO» urges residents and visitors of Odessa to park vehicles only in designated areas and to avoid areas with visible ground subsidence. They are also encouraged to report such cases to the specialized center for prompt response in the housing and communal services sector — 15-01.
