International Delegation Visits Odessa
An international delegation is currently in Odessa, comprised of representatives from the Executive Secretary of the UN Development Programme (UNDP), the UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS), and the UN Population Fund (UNFPA).
This visit, organized by UNDP in Ukraine, aims to strengthen collaboration with UNOPS and UNFPA.
During the working visit, the delegation toured projects being implemented with UN support.
The city mayor expressed gratitude for the assistance to Odessa, particularly for the involvement in the renovation of one of the departments of hospital No. 8.
Gennady Trukhanov noted that the facility is a regular hospital and does not provide emergency care, but lives have already been saved here, especially for the victims of hostile attacks who required urgent medical assistance, which was provided thanks to the highly qualified staff and modern equipment.
The meeting participants also discussed future collaboration opportunities, including attracting international investments for infrastructure projects such as the reconstruction of sewerage and drainage systems and the construction of housing for internally displaced persons.
