Enhanced Cancer Treatment Facilities in Odesa
Healthcare facilities in Odesa are enhancing their treatment options for patients with cancer.
City hospitals have signed agreements with the National Health Service of Ukraine, allowing for free chemotherapy and patient support as part of the state medical guarantee program.
At City Clinical Hospital No. 10, chemotherapy is administered in a specialized oncology unit. Each day, 20-25 patients receive treatment here.
This service is provided at no cost to both Odesa residents and those from other regions of Ukraine under electronic referrals from doctors for patients with clinically and morphologically confirmed malignant tumor diagnoses.
The oncology service at Hospital No. 10 also includes offices for oncologists, as well as departments for minimally invasive surgery and endoscopy.
This oncology service integrates surgical, chemotherapy, and diagnostic treatment options, ensuring modern multidisciplinary care at all stages of diagnosis and therapy.
At City Clinical Hospital No. 1, chemotherapy is also provided free of charge in the day hospital of the palliative care department. Since the beginning of this year, about 120 patients have received treatment here.
Starting in 2025, oncology services under the state medical guarantee program will be developed at City Clinical Hospital No. 11, which specializes in head and neck tumors.
The Department of Health is also actively implementing comprehensive programs for the prevention and early detection of cancer. In the first half of this year, about 10,000 residents underwent cancer screening.
