Ukrainian Billiards Championship for Athletes with Disabilities
From October 3 to 13, 2024, Kyiv hosted the Ukrainian Billiards Championship for men and women with disabilities, as well as veterans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and their families.
The participants included athletes from the «Odesa-Basket» organization, who won several awards in the championship.
Serhiy Kotsyuba claimed first place among veterans, while Valeriy Chuhuyev and Dmytro Danilov secured third places.
During an extraordinary session of the Odesa City Council, Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov officially congratulated the «Odesa-Basket» athletes on their victory.
«You are true examples of courage and spirit. Your achievements inspire us all and demonstrate that there are no barriers for those who have a goal and strive for victory,» the Mayor expressed pride in the winners' accomplishments.
Additionally, Hennadiy Trukhanov reminded everyone about the «Social Taxi» project, which provides free transportation for people with disabilities throughout the city.
«This project is an important step towards ensuring equal opportunities for all Odesa residents. We aim to create comfortable conditions for every citizen of our city,» the Mayor emphasized.
