Discovering Opportunities: National Police Recruitment Event

In Odesa and Izmail, law enforcement officials organized events to introduce future applicants to the police force, discussing the nuances of service within the Ministry of Internal Affairs and inviting them to join the ranks of the National Police of Ukraine.
As part of an open day at a vocational college affiliated with one of Odesa's universities, employees from the criminalistics department conducted a career guidance session for high school students. Forensic specialists showcased how they operate at crime scenes, including demonstrating the contents of forensic kits, tools for evidence collection, and fingerprinting equipment.
Participants observed the process of fingerprint detection and learned how prints are transferred for further expert analysis.
Police emphasized that the accuracy of evidence collection is essential for solving crimes.
“Thanks to modern forensic technology, we can accurately document every detail at the scene, which is vital for a fair investigation,” stated forensic officer Major Tetyana Skyrtenko.
In Izmail, officers from the personnel department met with students from a local academy. They discussed career prospects within the National Police, introducing the various roles available in criminal investigations, patrol duties, and more.
“We welcome motivated, honest, and energetic young individuals ready to face today’s challenges to join the National Police of Ukraine,” emphasized Senior Inspector Tetyana Artemenko-Holod.
Such meetings are held regularly, as they help young people become acquainted with police work, appreciate the importance of the profession, and make informed career choices.
