Internet Safety Awareness for Youth
In celebration of Safer Internet Day, a series of interactive lectures titled “Your Online Security” and “Cybersecurity Around Us” were conducted for school students in Odessa. The aim of these lectures is to educate children on safe internet practices and how to identify fake news.
The lectures, led by Denis Popkov, a senior lecturer from the Department of Information Technologies and Cybersecurity at Odessa National Technical University, covered topics such as: fundamental concepts of media literacy; safe smartphone usage; dangers of free Wi-Fi networks; the enemy's operations through information space and the Internet (manipulation, IPSO).
This series of lectures is a significant step toward raising children's awareness about cybersecurity, helping them feel more confident in the online environment.
