Muay Thai Tournament in Lviv: Honoring Memories and Achievements
From October 9 to 12, Lviv hosted the ‘Artan Cup’ in Muay Thai under the auspices of the International Muay Thai Federation (IFMA).
The tournament was dedicated to the memory of fallen soldiers from the special forces of the GUR of Ukraine named ‘Artan’, as well as Ukrainian athletes who have taken up arms in defense of their country during the ongoing war.
Competitors fought not only for the Cup of Ukraine but also for the chance to represent Ukraine at the European Championship.
Odesa athletes performed excellently at this event. Dmytro Zanin won a silver medal in the under 60 kg category, while Nikita Kuts (under 57 kg), Mykhailo Serdiuk (under 60 kg), and Bohdan Studnev (under 63 kg) claimed the Cup of Ukraine. The athletes were trained by coaches Volodymyr Pishenin, Andrii Vakharash, and Kostyantyn Trishin.
