Empowering Women in Cybersecurity: New Online Program Launch
A new online program titled "Empowering Women in Cybersecurity" is being launched in Ukraine, implemented by CDTO Campus, Diia.Business, and Diia.Education with the support of the German cybersecurity company Monarch and the German Federal Foreign Office.
This educational initiative aims to provide women with foundational knowledge in cybersecurity and teach them how to apply advanced cyber defense skills in their professional lives and daily routines.
"The "Empowering Women in Cybersecurity" program is a crucial starting point for women looking to change their career paths, enhance their digital skills, or gain a deeper understanding of digital risks. Through mentorship from leading experts from the UK, participants will acquire the knowledge and practical skills needed for a confident entry into one of today’s most essential fields. We aim to systematically advance the field of cybersecurity in Ukraine, address gender imbalance in technology, and create real opportunities for learning, employment, and growth," said Valeria Ionan, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
This program is aimed at women professionals looking to transition into cybersecurity or gain new knowledge applicable to their current careers. The educational content will be accessible to anyone interested, regardless of prior experience in cybersecurity.
Throughout the course, participants will learn about the fundamental concepts and principles of cybersecurity, hear from experienced professionals about the specifics of working in this field, and receive practical advice.
The program will consist of seven lectures covering both fundamental and practical topics: basics of cybersecurity; risks and compliance; threat intelligence and resilience during conflicts; working with OSINT; the role of women and keys to cyber resilience; personal growth in the cyber sphere. Additionally, the organizers will address career-related issues and discuss opportunities in cybersecurity.
