Ivan Yankovsky Wins Bronze Medal at European Championship
Another bronze medal for Odesa athletes!
The European Championship in Greco-Roman wrestling for U-20 concluded in the Italian city of Caorle.
Representing Odesa at this prestigious event was Ivan Yankovsky, a student of the Odesa Wrestling Federation, the «Greek» wrestling club, and the KZ «Odesa Regional School of Higher Sports Mastery «Olympian».
In a tense match for the bronze medal in the «130 kg» weight class, Ivan left no chances for his Austrian opponent, Leonard Jung. The athlete secured a convincing victory with a score of 8:0, once again demonstrating the high level of preparation of the Odesa wrestling school.
