Youth Muay Thai Championship in Odesa
The Youth Muay Thai Championship of Ukraine is underway in Odesa, featuring more than 260 athletes from 15 regions of the country.
One of the highlights for the audience was the Wai Kru performance — a traditional ritual dance that signifies respect for trainers, parents, and the martial art itself.
Young athletes received a warm welcome from the honorary president of the National Muay Thai Federation, Odesa’s mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov:
«You are already champions because you have chosen the path of strength, perseverance, and dignity over easier routes. Keep training, put your heart into it — and the results will speak for themselves. It is individuals like you who build a strong Ukraine».
The championship will continue for several days, promising many exciting bouts ahead.
The winners of the national selection will represent Ukraine at the world championship in September and will also participate in other international tournaments.
