Top Universities in Ukraine for 2025
The Odesa National University named after Mechnikov has secured a place in the top 10 universities of Ukraine in the «TOP-200 Ukraine 2025» ranking.

According to the new ranking, the leading position is held by Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
In second place is Lviv Polytechnic, which has improved its ranking from last year.
Third place goes to the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, which was the leader in 2024.
Sumy State University occupies the fourth position in the ranking.
Fifth place is taken by Lviv National University named after Ivan Franko.
The sixth position is held by Kharkiv National University named after I. Franko.
Seventh place is secured by the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine.
The eighth position is awarded to the Carpathian National University named after Ivan Franko.
Ninth place in the ranking is taken by Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute.
The Odesa National University named after Mechnikov rounds out the list at tenth place.
This “TOP-200 Ukraine” ranking has been compiled for the ninth consecutive year, formed by the Euroeducation International Project Center in collaboration with the international expert group IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence.
Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv regularly appears in the list of top universities. However, last year it was in second place, losing out to the National Technical University of Ukraine «Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute».
In compiling this year's «TOP-200 Ukraine 2025» ranking, the authors considered current trends in higher education transformation amid significant changes caused by structural reforms and the massive losses due to the full-scale war.
