Ukrainian Team Competes in Artistic Swimming at Euro-2025
The Ukrainian national team in artistic swimming participated in the second final at Euro-2025 held in Funchal, Portugal. The athletes performed a duet in the free routine.
Ukraine's team consists of 10 artistic swimmers. They have already competed in the technical program finals, where the duet of Daria Moshynska and Anastasia Shmonina finished in 6th place.
How did the free routine go?
- Moshynska and Shmonina started the final in ninth place, earning 116.50 points for artistic merit, only falling behind the Spanish team that won silver. For execution, they received 103.7899 points.
- Overall, the Ukrainians scored 220.2899 points, placing them second at the intermediate stage.
- Despite five more duets performing after them, they could not maintain their podium position. Ultimately, the Ukrainian duet finished in 5th place, trailing the podium by nearly 17 points.
- The European champions in the free routine for duets were the Italian representatives, who surpassed the Spaniards by just 2.3 points.
