Unique Photography Exhibition Opens in Odessa: Breaking Barriers
The «House with an Angel» in Odessa has launched a unique photography exhibition titled «Breaking Barriers». It features works from members of the Public Organization «Special Youth of Ukraine» alongside members of the National Union of Photographic Artists of Ukraine.
Fourteen photographers with special needs, participants of the «Photo School» initiative supported by the Jewish Volunteer League, and six renowned Odessa photographers contributed to this project. The photographs are paired by theme, showcasing a novice artist alongside a professional photographer.
«A lot is being done in Odessa to create an inclusive environment. Creativity breaks down barriers and helps people with special needs develop their talents and share their perspective with society,» said Elena Kitayskaya, the Director of the Department of Labor and Social Policy of the Odessa City Council.
During the exhibition opening, a charity auction of famous photographers' works was held to support the inclusive theater «Tolerance» of the «Special Youth of Ukraine» foundation. Theater participants performed creatively and received commemorative diplomas.
The «Breaking Barriers» exhibition will be open until April 25 at the «House with an Angel» exhibition hall located at: Italian Street (Pushkinskaya), 51.
