Quality Assessment of Artesian Water in Odesa
The quality of artesian water used in Odesa's wells is monitored by the State Enterprise «Odesa Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine».
Under an agreement with the municipal enterprise «Service Center», water testing is conducted monthly.
According to microbiological studies, as of October 2025, the drinking water from well complexes meets the sanitary standards DSanPiN 2.2.4-171-10.
Reports are available at all wells for public review.
Additional Information
Odesa hosts 17 well complexes with depths ranging from 111 to 149 meters. All wells are managed by the municipal enterprise «Service Center». According to estimates, about 45,000 residents utilize these well services daily. The average water consumption per well is 8 – 12 cubic meters. Well water is accessible to everyone.
