During the peak season (July–August), beaches operated under the supervision of the military administration, including two inclusive ones.
Four and five-star hotels reported a surge in demand. The average cost of accommodation increased by approximately 30%. Growth was observed in both premium and business segments. 90% of tourists are domestic visitors from various regions of Ukraine.
The average spending per tourist in the high segment rose by 25%, while in the middle segment it increased by 35–40%.
In 2024, Odesa was visited by about 4 million people, including around 350 thousand foreigners (mainly citizens of neighboring countries, journalists, humanitarian missions, and business trips).
Despite the restrictions caused by the war, Odesa remains the only accessible alternative for a beach vacation. The city continues to work on diversifying tourist flows to ensure stable visitation not only in summer but throughout the year.
