Integrity Initiative in Ukrainian Schools
The Office of Integrity at the National Agency for Corruption Prevention (NACP) has been implementing the «Transparent School» initiative since 2022. The primary goal is to transform the educational environment by integrating new educational resources, promoting integrity, and enhancing transparency in schools.
On October 29, 2024, a presentation of the project «Transparent School: Moving Towards Integrity Together» was held for heads of secondary education institutions at the Odesa Lyceum «European».
Serhiy Hupyak, the Deputy Head of NACP, emphasized the importance of fostering integrity and active outreach efforts, as well as the development of educational materials to reform the educational environment.
Participants learned how to explain the concepts of corruption and integrity to children in an engaging and accessible manner, and how to practically apply the knowledge gained.
Key aspects of the role of educational institutions in forming zero tolerance towards corruption among all participants in the educational process were discussed, as well as mechanisms that could foster integrity and prevent corruption risks.
Project manager Alona Khylko presented the project «Transparent School: Moving Towards Integrity Together».
Additionally, the meeting addressed issues related to organizing educational work in Odesa's institutions to prevent offenses.
